There's a certain "I can do anything," feeling that comes with being confident. Where most of us get stuck is in trying to connect with our more assertive and confident selves. From insecurities to negative self-talk, a lot of the time we are the ones getting in the way of us really believing in ourselves and achieving what we'd like to accomplish.
There's no doubt that negative experiences influence our perceptions, that’s why it's so important for us to treat ourselves with love and compassion. There's an entire world out there that is ready and willing to beat us up with harsh criticisms and remind us of our flaws.
Even if it's for thirty seconds, take some time every morning to remind yourself of how capable you truly are. It's one of the first steps in setting the stage for having loving relationships.
