Trusting Your Gut

So, you dated for a while and things seemed fine until they weren't.  No concrete understanding of why it ended the way it did, but one thing you're certain about is that they weren't the keeper kind.   Trust your gut, you're not feeling this way for no reason.  Often times the signs are there and we just ignore them or we're so blinded by our own agendas that we aren't able to see them.


Be honest with yourself.  This kind of thing happens more often than you think, but because it's so personal it usually feels like it's the end of the world.  Being hard on ourselves when it feels like the odds are against us is one of those bad habits that should be at the top of our "needs to change," list.  


The truth is, every relationship we're in isn't with the person we're meant to spend the rest of our lives with.  Sometimes we have relationships with people and those experiences serve as stepping stones to getting you one step closer to where you're supposed to be or who you’re supposed to be with.  We want to be ready when we meet the “right,” person.  It's up to you if you want to be courageous and leave your comfort zone or not. Holding onto something just because you have it isn't a good enough reason to hang onto it.  The hope is that we learn the lesson we're meant to and then improve upon it so we can improve ourselves.
